Triphala churna is one of the ancient and most widely used Ayurvedic medicines. It comes in herbal powder form. Tri means three, Phala means fruit. It is made of three fruits like Amla (Amalaki, Awala), Haritaki (Harda) and Vibhitaki (Behada, Bibhitaki). 

Behada (Terminalia bellirica) Popularly known as Behada The constant use of the plant keeps a person healthy and free from disease Charaka Samhita mentions it as anti-pyretic and mild laxative. It Billerica cleanses and detoxifies diseases of liver and gastrointestinal tract

Dose

For Triphala churna dosage Half to 1 teaspoon with honey, ghee or warm water, before food. For Triphala tablet dosage 1 2 tablets once or twice a day.

For Taste improvement or to treat oral ulcers, then it please take it in churna (powder) form. For any other purpose, it can be taken in tablet or capsule form.

Side Effects

Burning sensation in the body. (patient was having sensitive stomach).

Triphala capsule/Churna can lead to increased dryness or lack of sleep.

People with diabetes need to consult doctor, if they are taking Triphala Choorna (churna).
